Sugar Skull

I've been interested in sugar skulls since a kid.  Spanish class I learned of Day of the Dead.  A celebration where family and friends get together to honor the dead.  Artisans paint sugar cookie skulls, each representing a departed soul. with bright cheerful colors.   The sugar in the sugar skull represents the sweetness of life.  They cover alters with these sugary creations and marigold flowers.

This blanket was made for those who share my interest.  The skull can represent anyone you wish.
I will be making more of these, in all size shape and color.
